Outlook 2011

Outlook joins the Office for Mac family for the first time,
delivering incredible cross compatibility for e-mail,
scheduling, contacts, and calendars. Outlook is the app that
the majority of business and home users consider a
“must-have”. Integrating seamlessly with Microsoft Exchange,
as well as webmail and connected contacts and calendars,
Outlook is the incredibly powerful tool you need to handle
the ins and outs of everyday life.
Outlook 2011 features Attachment Preview, letting you see a
document right within an email–forget about opening a
separate app just to take a peek, Attachment Preview will
save you time. You’ll also get Conversation VIew, letting
you sort, view, and consolidate email by conversations.
Track e-mail threads with the same topic automatically, and
collapse and expand them instantly - even if they’ve been
stored in different folders!
Word 2011
You’ll focus like never before with Word 2011’s Full Screen
View. Maximize your creative space for reading and writing,
and avoid distractions from other windows and programs with
a single click. Build a workspace that’s unique to you with
different backgrounds, zoom levels, and viewing modes.
You can really make documents pop with the right image, so
Word 2011 now features in-app Photo Editing. Add some visual
appeal with these easy-to-use photo editing tools. Retouch
photos, easily remove backgrounds, and add colours and
effects without having to open a second app.
Excel 2011
Excel has always been a powerhouse for data management and
analysis, but with Office for Mac 2011 it gets even better.
The new Sparklines feature lets you create small charts
within a single cell, letting you interpret data quickly.
Trends like seasonal increases or decreases become apparent
instantly as you choose between line, column, and win/loss
charts with a single click.
Visual Basic Support has returned to Office for Mac 2011,
bringing a new level of compatibility with Office for
Windows. You can easily program your favourite commands and
actions with the latest version of Visual Basic using fully
supported Visual Basic scripts.
PowerPoint 2011
Building and sharing professional presentations has a new
home on your Mac: PowerPoint 2011. With new Dynamic
Reordering you’ve got complete control over how your final
slides appear; you can re-order layers of text, photos, and
graphics quickly so that your animations, transitions, and
layouts looks just right. Simply click and drag layers of
text, graphics, and photos to the desire position. It’s that
easy!
Need to present, but you can’t be there… or you’re
presenting to someone who might not have PowerPoint? With
Presentation Broadcast you can present in real time, for
free, right on a web browser–complete with animations and
transitions. Office 2011 will provide a unique web address
that you can send, making it incredibly simple for you to
manage online.
Cool interface features
Office for Mac 2011 has a whole new feel, one that’s
homegrown and fits in with your Mac like never before. The
Ribbon is a new user interface feature that helps you
perform common tasks fast. You’ll find that commands are
organized into logical groups that relate to the activities
you’re performing, helping you to discover and use features
you might not have known existed.
The Template Gallery is a fast and efficient way to choose
from hundreds of professional layouts, letting you produce
consistently great-looking documents. View large previews
easily, and edit colours and styles right in the Gallery to
quickly create a customized document that’s perfect for you.
Take your Office experience online.
Office for Mac 2011 includes Office Web Apps 2011, a great
way to post, access, edit, and share files from virtually
anywhere. Web Apps let you create documents on your computer
and post them to WIndows Live® SkyDrive® (yes, it works on
your Mac too!). You can share and edit documents right in a
web browser, and get consistent formatting even if you’re
working from different types of computer.
With the new Coauthoring feature you can simultaneously edit
a file with multiple authors in multiple locations. Simply
post an Office Document to SkyDrive and invite your
collaborates in real time! They can view, edit, and work
with you to produce the best documents ever.
